I’m excited to welcome Angela Avery to the podcast!
Angela Avery is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor in private practice for 11 years. She specializes in challenging relationships, especially narcissism, toxic patterns, and high-conflict divorce.
Angela has been through difficult life experiences as a divorced mom of two who remarried, then became widowed, and now is partnered again. She brings a sense of wisdom and perspective to her clients.
Angela’s story is super inspiring. After building a thriving six-figure practice, she hit a season where her referrals slowed. Her old marketing strategies just weren’t cutting it anymore.
Instead of giving up, she decided to get scrappy. She joined Private Practice Academy, showed up on Instagram for the first time in her career, and went ALL IN!
Fast forward six months - she’s signed 17 new private-pay clients directly from Instagram.
What’s even more amazing? She did this with under 1,000 followers and while charging $200/session!

You don’t have to do everything perfectly or have it all figured out. It’s about showing up with confidence, consistency, and a willingness to learn!

She’s also been brave enough to raise her rates, run ads, and outsource what she needs to keep her momentum going!
Today, Angela’s back to running a six-figure practice and earning 25% more per month. She’s even exploring a second business to support men in relationships!
