I’m excited to kick off part one of a three-part series around preparing for maternity leave!

I’ve gotten a ton of questions about how I’m planning to step away from my business for three months. And nope - I don’t have the luxury of paid time off, either.

I knew it was time to give you a REAL, behind-the-scenes look!

A little disclaimer: this is what felt best for ME. It probably won’t look the exact same for you in this situation, and that’s perfectly okay!

In today's episode, I'm sharing how I prepped financially for maternity leave.

One of the biggest shifts I made was stepping away from 1:1 work. For me, that was the clearest (and easiest) choice.

Don't get me wrong - I LOVE supporting my 1:1 therapy and coaching clients!

But it's also the most time-consuming and least scalable part of my business.

Saying goodbye to those clients meant less income. But you know what??

It also gave me the time and space I needed to get ahead before the baby arrives!

I had to remind myself that this wasn't a year for rapid growth. The last few years, I've made anywhere from $250k/year to $1M/year. That's allowed me to save and invest even more, which is incredible!

This year, though? My focus has been stability, peace of mind, and building a strong foundation for stepping away.

I've leaned into other income streams like brand partnerships, courses, and my Reels Membership. I ran FUN (and shorter) launches that felt lighter during pregnancy.

And yep - I've still brought in solid revenue!

My biggest takeaway here? Know. Your. Numbers.

Get comfortable checking on your finances often (whether you're planning for maternity leave or not).

I want you to build a business that allows you freedom and flexibility to LIVE your life. Trust that your business will be there when you return!

Make sure to come back for parts two and three as we dive into how I prepped my team and my content!!

In this episode, Part 1: How I Prepped Financially for Maternity Leave, I cover:

  • Why I decided to step away from 1:1 therapy & coaching clients

  • How I shifted my mindset to be okay with 2025 NOT being a big “growth” year

  • The income streams I leaned into more this year

  • A behind-the-scenes look at my business vs. personal expenses
