Today's episode is a bit of a personal one.

I'm pulling back the curtain on how I shared with my therapy clients that I'm pregnant and preparing for maternity leave.

Maybe you're newly pregnant, or you're trying to conceive. Or maybe you're thinking about future family planning and want to be super prepared for that time!

Wherever you are, I know it can feel kind of tricky navigating this important season.

In today's episode, I'm sharing how I told my therapy clients I'm pregnant & going on maternity leave.

When it comes to sharing this news with your clients, this is going to look different for everyone. I recommend waiting until you pass the first trimester, but also, don't wait until you're super far into the third trimester!

For me personally, I made the decision to fully terminate with my clients instead of returning after a traditional leave.

Whether you're taking 6 weeks, a full year, or somewhere in between, your clients CAN handle it.

Of course, you DO want to keep specific therapeutic considerations in mind for your clients.

But as long as your honesty, clarity, and care are leading the way, this should be a fairly smooth process!

This has definitely been an emotional decision for me. I LOVE my clinical work, but I know I need to pause both my therapy and business coaching during this time.

I also know how scary it can feel to shift gears in business and navigate something brand new (insert pregnancy and motherhood)!

But you know what? I'm allowed to change and pivot when I need to, and so are you!

You're a human FIRST and a therapist second.

If you're a fellow pregnant therapist or mom, I SEE you. I truly appreciate your support, love, and advice during this time.

I'm excited to enter this new era, and I'm cheering you on as you do, too!
