Maternity leave prep isn't just about buying baby clothes and packing a hospital bag. It's about making sure my business can run without me for three full months!
Yep, I'm officially taking October, November, and December completely OFF.
A lot of planning and preparation has gone into making this possible.
But there's NO way I would be able to do this without my incredible team!
In today's episode, I'm sharing how I prepped my team for maternity leave.
For me, the first step was asking, "What are the things only I can do?"
That meant podcast episodes, my coaching community, content, and brand partnerships. I batched podcast episodes all the way through January, and recorded mini-lessons for my VIP community.
I rebooted 25+ lessons in PPA (super proud of that!), and prepped brand content in advance.
The rest? I handed off to others I knew I could count on.
I also had to get real about what actually needed coverage while I'm out.
Admin tasks like my calendar, inbox, and DMs? My team can handle it.
My upcoming Black Friday launch? My team has it covered (with lots of prep from me ahead of time).
Ongoing memberships with 800+ therapists? Yep, totally my team!
I've trained them well and set up systems. We even tested it all while I was on my babymoon in Europe (smooth sailing - yay)!
The biggest thing for me? I've had to let go of control, and truly lean on (and trust) the amazing people I've hired.
Whether you've got a team or you're a one-person show, you're still the CEO of your business. It's important to set yourself up for success so you can take time off when you need to!
Stay tuned for part 3 in this series next week - I'll be sharing about how I prepped my content for maternity leave!
