Let’s talk about the REAL side of showing up on Instagram consistently.
You’re showing up, creating content, AND posting consistently.
But…you’re not getting the results you want. You feel like nothing is working, and you’re wondering what the heck you’re missing!
If you’re in that “I’m doing everything right, but nothing’s working” phase, you’re NOT alone. This is something I hear super often from therapists!
Yes, the consistency piece is crucial, but it’s not the ONLY step.
In today's episode, I'm talking about why consistent posting is step one + what comes next.
What often gets missed is the whole strategy BEHIND the content. This is the stuff that really moves the needle!
I know how easy it can be to fall into the comparison trap. You see how well other therapists are doing on Instagram, and it's frustrating when you're not seeing the results you want.
Sure, some people will have major success right away…but that's NOT the norm.
My own growth was pretty slow and steady. I showed up every day for MONTHS before I saw real results!
I started with 0 followers, and now I have 2 accounts that are around 90k followers (@sitwithkelly) and 40k followers (@businessoftherapy). Even though it was a bit of a "slow burn," it has all been worth it!!
You've got to be willing to niche down and be crystal clear in your messaging. You should be creating content that is both shareable AND saveable (i.e., reels and carousels).
You should be showing up regularly in your stories and ACTIVELY selling your offers there. I know it can feel a little scary at first, but the more you do it, the easier it will become!
Building genuine relationships and connections with your followers is sooo important, too. If you're just showing up to share content and not connecting with anyone, you're missing out!
I hope this episode encourages you to rethink what "consistency" means. It's not just consistent posting - it's about intentionality!
And…if you're craving more, I'd love to support you with all of this inside the Private Practice Academy Bundle (PPA).
