I’m excited to welcome Maria Reiter onto the podcast today!

Maria Reiter is a licensed therapist based in Wisconsin. She supports Gen Z and millennial women struggling with anxiety, trauma, perfectionism, and people pleasing tendencies. As a fellow anxious Gen Z anxious human, Maria can relate to many of the issues her clients are experiencing. She takes a collaborative and empathetic approach, tailored to each client’s specific needs.

Maria has already made some incredible shifts in her career in a short time! She went from working in a hospital setting, to a group practice, and eventually, starting her own private practice in May 2024.

Maria and I connected in August 2023 when she joined PPA. She was ready to start showing up on Instagram, but was unclear on her niche, and who she wanted to serve.

Fast forward a few months - Maria has FILLED her caseload with ideal clients. She’s charging $175+/session, and consistently hitting $10k months.

The best part of all…her work-life balance is better than EVER!

In today’s episode, Maria and I are chatting about how she filled her caseload in 4 months. Maria knew she wanted to have a presence on Instagram, but she was starting from scratch.

Growing a community on Instagram has been both challenging + rewarding for Maria. Now that she’s in private practice, Maria has really found clarity in her messaging, and who she’s connecting with on this platform.

Specificity is KEY - you won’t stand out if you’re not speaking directly to your people and connecting with them on a deeper level!

Since being in private practice, the majority of Maria’s clients come from Instagram and referrals. She’s also utilizing networking, and is not shying away from putting herself out there.

Nobody likes to be uncomfortable (business owner or not). But...your dream clients won’t know how you can help them if you don’t put yourself out there!

One of the things that I LOVE about Maria is she keeps moving forward, no matter what.

She’s getting her feet wet, and trying new things. She’s worked through some major limiting beliefs as a therapist in the Midwest. She’s upleveling in her business, and ultimately, creating her dream life.

Maria’s story really shows what is possible in private practice, regardless of where you live in the country. I KNOW you’re going to be inspired after listening to our conversation!!
