We’ve made it to part three of my maternity leave prep series!
If you missed the first two episodes (how I prepped my finances and team), make sure to check those out first. They set the stage for today’s topic: content.
As an Instagram therapist, content is a HUGE part of my business. Stepping away for a bit can feel a little scary (especially if you’ve been building for a while).
And yep, we’ve all heard the warnings about “ghosting” on Instagram and how it impacts the algorithm.
The truth, though? You CAN step back, and still keep your audience engaged. It’s totally possible to enjoy your time away!
In today's episode, I'm sharing how I'm posting content during maternity leave.
I knew I had to pre-plan quite a bit of my content and be super intentional about it.
I've set realistic expectations with Instagram, the podcast, brand partnerships, and email marketing.
With Instagram, my goal was to stay present and engaged with my audience (on both of my pages).
I also don't want to be glued to my phone, and pretend like I'm the one doing every.single.thing when I'm not!
I'm relying on my team WAY more while I'm on leave. They're helping with content creation, engagement, and launches. Basically, they're making sure all of the BTS tasks get done.
Me? I'm providing the voice and messaging through all of it, because that is SO important to me!
My goal is to be super transparent about all of this. TBH - I'm still showing up, but way less than usual.
I'm not aiming for major growth in this season. I want sustainability, and to show up in ways that feel FUN + low-pressure for me!
Whatever you're prepping for in your life, you don't have to pretend everything is business as usual.
Plan ahead, trust your team (or systems), and be transparent through it all. Your community will appreciate that, and really resonate with it too!
If you've been tuning in to this maternity leave prep series, I'd love to hear from you! Send me a DM over on @businessoftherapy, and share your biggest takeaway.
Can't wait to cheer you on as you prep for YOUR next season, friend!!
