So many therapists are undercharging and overworking.
I see this happen WAY too often with the individuals in our field.
But it's not because you're "bad with money" or "not cut out for private practice."
Nope - it's the MYTHS you've been told that are keeping you stuck!
These myths sound noble on the surface, but in reality? They're pushing you straight toward exhaustion, burnout, and frustration.
In today's episode, I'm diving into the myths that keep you undercharging and overworking as a therapist.
The truth is, you deserve to be well-compensated and well-resourced. You DESERVE to love your career long-term!
Unfortunately, though, the culture of the helping professions has created a pipeline to burnout.
Up to 60% of therapists report moderate to high levels of burnout. Many even consider leaving the field entirely.
Honestly, that's heartbreaking!
It's also proof that we NEED to rethink how we're practicing.
Myths like "I have to stay affordable or I'm unethical" or "I can't go private pay without being part of the accessibility problem" are keeping you stuck.
You may even think that you can't raise your rates until you're certified in "XYZ."
NONE of those are true. These myths are keeping you from creating a sustainable and thriving practice!
By challenging these beliefs, you open the door to a career that actually works for YOU.
You can have a career that allows you to pay off your loans. You can save for retirement and give back to your favorite charities.
And yes, you can show up FULLY for your clients without running yourself into the ground!
This episode is your permission slip to STOP undercharging and overworking as a therapist.
It's time to step into the full potential you deserve, friend!!
