I’m pumped to welcome Amanda Buduris onto the podcast today!

Amanda Buduris is a trauma therapist in the Pacific Northwest. She owns a successful private practice, and specializes in offering therapy intensives. Amanda serves individuals and couples who have complex trauma, and need support navigating the healing process. She’s also a business coach who helps therapists add therapy intensives to their own practices.

Amanda has been a long time coaching client of mine, and is a fellow Jane ambassador. We've both built very successful therapy practices and charge a premium fee, but...our practices look pretty different. Amanda’s rate for 1-1 therapy is significantly higher than mine (which I love)!

Amanda was initially charging $125/session for 1-1 clients. Now, she charges $350/hour for weekly clients, and $400-500 for intensives (which we’re digging more into here). She’s been able to achieve $15k months from therapy alone, working an average of 15 hours/week. Pretty freaking awesome!!

In today’s episode, we’re chatting about how to build a therapy practice worth $200+/session. Amanda has structured her private practice in a way that showcases her experience + why she IS worth charging what she does.

Clearly, people are willing (and excited) to pay her a premium rate, because they believe she is the best of the best. That starts with an elevated client experience, which Amanda has created beautifully!

Amanda and I both use Jane in our private practices, and it’s been a game changer for both of us and our clients. It’s VITAL that you present yourself professionally with reliable and streamlined tools, professional branding, and a stellar client experience. If you don’t, it’s going to be really hard to get clients willing to pay you a premium rate.

Amanda has really shifted her private practice over time. She used to see 17-20 clients/week AND work most weekends, which was feeling like burnout. Now, she offers therapy intensives, and sees way less 1-1 weekly clients. This has allowed her to have more flexibility and ENERGY with her clients, which comes across to them too!

Amanda loves offering therapy intensives to her clients who need dedicated support...but don’t necessarily want to be in therapy forever. She has structured her intensives in a way that allows her to be present and flexible, which is super valuable for her clients. Nobody wants an overworked, burned out therapist who is basically ‘checked out’ during sessions!

Quality, professional branding & marketing has been crucial in Amanda’s business success, too. This is something that can easily be put on the back burner. But...if you’re looking to connect with more of your ideal client, you NEED to put forth effort and be consistent with this piece of your business!

Amanda has done a phenomenal job with providing a top-notch experience for her clients. They know they’re getting a therapist who is energized AND truly focused on helping them.
