Ever caught yourself thinking you need to become a coach or create a course because you can’t make enough money as a therapist?

I want to challenge that idea.

Your income problem isn’t that you’re a therapist.

Honestly? It’s a marketing, positioning, or pricing problem.

Thankfully, those are all things you can fix so you CAN make more money as a therapist!

In today’s episode, I’m sharing why you don’t need to become a coach to make more money as a therapist.

When I started my private practice, I charged $250 per session and earned $250k in my first year. About $200k of that came from 1:1 therapy alone!

It’s VERY possible to have an awesome work-life balance and make lots of money doing 1:1 therapy.

You absolutely can earn $100K, $200K, or even $300K a year as a therapist. But you don’t have to build an entirely separate coaching business in order to do so.

The key here? Learn how to attract private-pay clients and position yourself as an expert.

Then, you can confidently charge what your expertise is worth!

Sure, coaching can be amazing. But it isn’t always the “dream come true” that is sold to you online.

Coaching still requires marketing, visibility, strong messaging, and sales skills. If you’re already struggling to market your therapy practice, adding another offer doesn’t solve that problem. It’s really just giving you something else to market!

What you should focus your time and energy on? Niching down, increasing your rates, and filling your existing caseload with ideal clients!

That doesn’t mean coaching is never the right move. If your therapy caseload is full and you’re truly excited about teaching or offering something outside the scope of therapy? Coaching may be an incredible next step.

Ultimately, I want you to give yourself permission to build the profitable therapy practice you want FIRST, friend!

In this episode, You Don’t Need to Become a Coach to Make More Money as a Therapist, I cover:
