Listen to Permission to Slow Down & Enjoy What You’re Building with Therapist Megan Kirby on: Apple Podcasts | Spotify | Your player of choice
Have you ever reached a goal you’ve been working toward FOREVER, only to immediately start thinking about what’s next?
That’s exactly what happened to Megan!
Megan Kirby is a therapist for anxious millennial moms who feel overwhelmed, reactive, and disconnected from themselves and others. She helps moms manage anxiety, motherhood, relationship stress, and the mental load. Together, she and her clients work on communication skills, setting boundaries, learning to understand the nervous system, and understanding themselves so they can be less reactive and more present.
After dreaming about private practice for years, Megan joined PPA. She committed to consistently marketing her business, and eventually made the leap into private practice full-time.
She nearly doubled her previous income AND started consistently bringing in $10K a month!
But instead of slowing down to enjoy what she built, she found herself pushing even harder.
In today’s episode, we’re talking about your permission to slow down & enjoy what you’re building.
When Megan transitioned into full-time private practice, she was seeing around 27 clients a week. She was setting up her business, transferring clients, and managing paperwork.
She was also aiming to show up on Instagram every single day.
Megan was building the freedom she had always wanted! But she was totally burning herself out in the process.
During one of our Private Practice Academy coaching calls, I asked her a simple question: Do you actually need to be doing all of this right now?
Honestly, giving herself permission to slow down changed EVERYTHING. Megan went from posting every day to a few times a week. She spent way less time on her phone. She created more space to read, rest, and be present with her family!
What’s even cooler? Megan’s business didn’t fall apart.
Today, around 40% of her practice is already private pay. And she knows exactly how to turn her marketing back up when she’s ready for more clients!
Your next goal WILL be there when you’re ready for it. You’re allowed to slow TF down and enjoy what you’ve already built.
Growing at a pace that actually feels good is an incredible thing!!
